Very cool. Nice work, Marcus. Getting Earth's orbital parameters from pulsar
timing, one kind of expects. But getting this from the observed Doppler shift
over a year in the relatively broad peak of neutral hydrogen? Impressive!

We'll likely have an update paper in about 6 months.   Measuring the H1
absorption feature in M8.  It's narrow.    In fact, back in 1969, that's
exactly how
  Stephen Knowles did it with the Navy 20m at Green Bank....

Not ground-breaking new science or anything.   The AJP is more focused
on the *teaching* of physics than extraordinary new results in physics. 
This "little"
  project emerged initially as a data-analysis exercise for our summer
(high-school) students, but it quickly took on a life of its own..... :)

Excellent paper Marcus and team, very detailed error analysis, shows professionals what amateurs can do.

All credit to you for driving this, obviously a lot of hard work and study has supported it.
