கரங்களைக் குவித்துக் கழல்பணிந்தேன் - உளம் 

… கனிந்திட உருகிக் கரைந்துநின்றேன்

மதியினை நிகர்க்கும் ஒளிமுகத்தில் - எழில்

… மலர்விழி இரண்டின் செழுமைகண்டேன்

மதுவென இனிக்கும் மணித்தமிழை - நிதம்

… மடுத்திட மகிழும் செவிகள்கண்டேன்.  (அரங்கனை) (1)

மலைமிசை வீழும் அருவியைப்போல் - திரு

… மார்பினில் மாலை தழையக்கண்டேன்

அலைமிகு பொன்னி அடிவருட - அவன்

மலர்மகள் நாதன் மகிமையினால் - நெஞ்சில்

… மயக்கமும் சோர்வும் மறையக்கண்டேன்

நலமிகு கோவில் தரிசனத்தால் - எனை

… நலித்திடும் சோகம் விலகக்கண்டேன். (அரங்கனை) (3)

இரவுடன் பகலாம் இருபொழுதும் - புகழ் 

… இசைத்திடும் அடியார் அடிதொழுதேன்

இருவகை வினையாம் இருளொழிந்தேன் - அந்த

In the kuRippurai:

"பொழிந்தபின்" என்பது, "பொழிந்து" எனத் திரிந்து நின்றது. "அருவி" என்றவிடத்து, ஆக்கம் வருவித்து, அருவியாய் வெடிபட இழிந்து என மாற்றியுரைக்க.

Maybe you are correct. But from the quoted examples and  attributed meaning, it looks like it is used in a 

pejorative sense - 'to descend, dismount, to fall, drop down,' ' to be degraded, to be disgraced, reduced in circumstances.'
