Dear Volker,

Thanks for the release. Note that it seems to be missing in pypi:

Best,
Gonzalo

I've never done anything with pypi, is it not automatically pulling releases from github? Anybody knows?

It's done by a GH Action (pypa/gh-action-pypi-publish@release/v1, in
.github/workflows/dist.yml), which failed for 10.6.beta6

https://github.com/sagemath/sage/actions/runs/13252848843/job/36994215236
has failed, while it worked for 10.6.beta5

The log says:

So this looks like that an image grew too big, and brought the whole
pipeline down.

That's all I know so far.

Here are more details on this problem:

TL;DR sagemath_objects was being spammed by 0.5Gb releases lately, and it reached the 10Gb limit.
Maybe it can be just dropped? Cleaning this up appears to need human involvement by PyPI maintainers.
(one can remove files, and I did remove some, but they still have to pick up the trash...)

So it's hopefully resolved in some form - next beta sagemath-standard
should be going to PyPI just fine.

We don't support Python 3.13 yet, and the log sent to me showed exactly this issue.

you can merge https://github.com/sagemath/sage/pull/39381 in your
branch, run ./bootsrap && ./configure, and check that the new Python
is picked up.

Yes, ok... thanks !
It is not a very good idea to compile Sage on Debian testing !

Just to know, about python 3.13 : is there any project to support it ?
3.13 has an *experimental* support for multithreading, and we can
expect 3.14 to genuinely support it. Any consequence for Sage?
