Hey everyone!
I'm Ishaan, a 2nd year engineering undergraduate in Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering.
I am a beginner and have recently started with open source.
I am passionate about computer science and mathematics which is why SageMath grabs my attention. I have good experience working with machine learning models, Python, Matlab, and other tech stacks.
I am interested in "Implement Schubert and Grothendieck polynomials". I would love to start contributing to this project.

Thank you

Dear Ishaan,

Welcome to sage development. You should get familiar with the software
and its devlopment process via the github platform
https://github.com/sagemath/sage. To get familiar I would suggest that
you pick some easy tasks in the big list of issues
https://github.com/sagemath/sage/issues and try to propose a fix. We
have a label "good first issue" but it is not very much populated at
the moment, see
https://github.com/sagemath/sage/labels/good%20first%20issue.

Feel free to ask for help on this mailing list, on the asksage forum
https://ask.sagemath.org/questions/ or at the "jeudi sages" weekly
meeting https://wiki.sagemath.org/thursdaysbdx (presential and
online).

Best
Vincent
