Hi list,

if I wanted to cite the sagemath website and want to do it right, I
would have to add some kind of title and also an author;

since there is no imprint on www.sagemath.org,

what title and author would you suggest?

Hello Doris,

If this is relevant, then ways to cite SageMath (the software) are at
https://wiki.sagemath.org/Publications_using_SageMath
This link also appear, slightly hidden, on the main website in the
Library->Publications page at
https://www.sagemath.org/library-publications.html

Maybe changing that "\tt" there to an actual hyperlink might be better.

Regards,
TB

The canonical way to cite SageMath the software system is via DOI:
https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8042261
(maintained via Zenodo: https://zenodo.org/record/8042261)

As to website, I don't know. Do you need to cite the website rather
than the project?
