How to test Heroku links?

I am using ruby-1.9.3 and rails 3.2.

This question is very basic which I am asking here.

My Heroku link is follow:

" http://powerful-wildwood-7183.herokuapp.com/ "

How to test that link? In which way I can able to say that this link is
working correctly.

Visit it and see if it works? Or do you mean some kind of automated testing? That's typically done locally, before you deploy changes to Heroku...
