Dear all.

As i can see, there is no web-server roll in the new version of Rocks. That's a feature? As i can see on the rockscluster.org web site, the wordpress disapears. Do you use a speciale feature to design your web site as it?

Regards

Hi jerome,

There is no longer web-server roll or wordpress.
If you want to install wordpress you  have to download and configure it.

Rocks now serves only roll documentation from the website  plus ganglia.
None require web-server.

HI Jerome,

if you mean www.rocksclusters.org it is hosted on github and is created
with github pages using jerkyll.

If you mean index.html page of any cluster that is build as rocks 7.0 it is a single handcrafted page
with a few links to the installed rolls docs and ganglia.

Dear Nadya.

Thank's the information. As i'm not a web designer, i don't want to take
lot of time in this stuff.

Regards.

Jerome (et al)...

I'll add to what Nadya has reported the following...

- Apache httpd is running on your cluster frontend and can server ANY content you provide/configure. However maintaining that content will by 100% your responsibility.

- The 'default' Rocks7/apache configuration displays the standard Apache 'testing' page [1] at http://<your_frontend_hostname>/ when hit from any node in your cluster.

- As in previous versions of Rocks, the hostbased firewall is configured to ONLY allow hosts from the internal cluster private network or the local subnet of the public interface of your frontend to access the web server.

- Phil has provided a script (gen-home-page) that will generate a very basic cluster home page linking to the documentation for installed rolls, the cluster kickstart graph (generated on the fly) and ganglia web area[2] (assuming ganglia roll is installed). Simply run...

[root@hpcdev-003 ~]# gen-home-page > /var/www/html/index.html

...as root on your frontend and you'll get something that looks like this sample[3]

You're rigth, as it was in the previous versions of Rocks :-)

That's all right...

Ok, That's mean that now web access is open on the public interface.

I've got it , and think it's perfect for the beginning. But i'v used my
web page of my cluster to inform about the use of it .. And as Nayda
explain to me, i know what to use to have a soft design for this page.

Thank's a lot for your hard work!

Regards
