how to create a link to a file (download link)

Hi

i want to use the file manager to upload files for users to download. how can i create a link to those documents in the editor?

You can just link to the file, this will open the file in the browser however (for images, videos etc.) 

The syntax is like this:

[[attachment:/1.png|Link text]]

or alternatively:

[[~/1.png|Link text]]

You can use ~/ or attachment: in the url to link to an attachment. For example

[[~/myfile.jpg|text]]
