How do I create tables using Markdown. I know the support for tables in Markdown is filmsy and only certain flavors of Markdown support them. Is HTML <table> ... </table> the only option?

It's html only I'm afraid - you'll need to allow the table tag and child tags in the Htmlwhitelist file too (although I think they might already be there).

Never mind, I wrote a plugin that uses Creole like syntax and generate the Creole like table output. Recently, been too busy so I merely copied the table generation code from CreoleParser, tweaked it and stuffed it in my plugin and voila, I get Creole like output.

I know, I will be frowned upon because its redundant code as now we have the same code at two different places (which is a maintenance nightmare) but for now I wanted something very quick, even if it's dirty.

Thanks for the quick response, though.

Hi Mr Hiroyuki,

can you share detailed steps (for dummies) to get this feature on current version? I also miss tables ;)
