Don Wallace, W6AM demonstrating his directional arrays. On the air since
1910, commercial and amateur licenses, member Society of Wireless
Pioneers. Operated spark and continuous wave. He used to operate from
his Buick with his Vibroplex splayed across the front bench seat as
shown in the photo . Flawless Morse a pleasure to speak to. I worked him
as he went over the Tobin Bridge in Boston. He never missed a dot.
Member of First Class CW Club. He purchased the Mackay Radio Palos
Verdes transmitter site in 1945. It became the Wallace Ranch.
He also had a 300 watt FM mobile station in his Buick, he could hold the
Boston repeaters past the New Hampshire border.
