Folks,

A little way off yet but...

On Thursday 9th April, I am hoping to run another "Maker's Bazaar". It is an informal "show and tell" event where members bring along projects/interesting things to share and discuss ideas.

Possible topics:

* Antennas (photos, sketches if that's easier)
* Experiments and experimental projects - not necessarily complete - or even started!
* Projects you may need some help with
* Cautionary tales
* Operating tips
* Project update
* Equipment restoration
* Cool Ali Express/Ebay purchases
* A short talk on your pet subject

The list is endless. Doesn't have to be radio related.

Part of the idea is to hook up people who are developing similar things or solving similar problems.

Length of talks/slots I expect to be maybe 5 to 10 minutes.

If you can give me advance notice that you would like to present something, I would be most grateful!

--

Also as ever, if you would like to give a longer talk then please let me know. One possibility is we do two 20-minute talks one evening. Or something like that.

Just realised 9th April is frightening close(!). Yeah - I'm hopeless :-)

Simon M0ZSU has said he'll do something also Dave/Loz G6AWF/G2DD may have a QRP-Labs festival.  iirc Dave mentioned something about an antenna too.

Apologies if you have approached me informally and I have forgotten. My DRAM refresh isn't so good these days.

It's still ok to just turn up on the night and do something  - I'm trying to keep this as informal as possible.

Christian Aid Walk 2026 - RADARC Radio Comms Support

Most of you will know that for many years the club has
supported the South Oxfordshire Christian Aid Walk by
providing radio comms between the Start/Finish and a
number of Waypoints around the route of the walks.
This is primarily done using the 2m amateur band.

The date for this years walk is confirmed as SATURDAY 25th April
and the organisers would very much like our assistance again.

As well as providing radio comms to the checkpoints they also
ask us to take on the marshalling role. There will also be the
opportunity to do some radio equipt sweeping or route checking
if you fancy a walk in the countryside.

The walks will start and finish at Bix Village Hall as usual
with 5 mile and 10 mile routes.
