Interpolation with the the dMatern model

Hello,

I want to ask if it is correct to predict the response in new locations if I use the dMatern model to model the random intercept (I have a Poisson regression). I fit the model in my training dataset, and then I want to predict the values in a gridded dataset.

the easy way is to include the points you want to prediuct in the model with NA
