Dear community:

I'm trying to install INLA on a new pc, without success:
This is the message

* installing *binary* package 'INLA' ...
cp: unknown option -- )
Try '/usr/bin/cp --help' for more information.
ERROR: installing binary package failed
* removing 'C:/Users/32498/Documents/R/win-library/4.0/INLA'
Warning in install.packages :
  installation of package ‘INLA’ had non-zero exit status

When I install it from: install.packages("INLA",repos=c(getOption("repos"),INLA="https://inla.r-inla-download.org/R/stable"), dep=TRUE)

From github I have no problem but the version is different  (999.999 something) and not compatible with the packages that I want to use. Furthermore, this method I read that is not recommended for installation.

SesionInfo() gives
R version 4.0.2 (2020-06-22)

Sorry, one additional info:

I got the same results if I do it with
install.packages("INLA",repos=c(getOption("repos"),INLA="https://inla.r-inla-download.org/R/testing"), dep=TRUE, verbose=T)
