Hi,

What is the reason of using jboss-logmanager-embedded instead of the regular jboss-logmanager in Quarkus? The reason I'm asking is because I've been hit by a bug that's been fixed in logmanager but not ported to the embedded one yet. I'm wondering how to avoid these kind of situations as much as possible in the future.

Quarkus requires configuration behaviors that are incompatible with
upstream's configuration system. I have a task to find some way to
integrate the two, and I've proposed an idea or two, but so far
nothing has proven to be workable yet.

Thanks for the quick turnaround on the PR and this question.

BTW. Any info on when jboss-logmanager-embedded:1.0.6 could be expected?

I don't have a personal hard-and-fast release policy for this (or most
other projects) other than "whenever someone requests me to do a
release". My vague hope is that a release will encompass more than
one change, but it seldom works out that way. :-)

Thanks David,

just to put some context. This is a blocker for further adopting Quarkus in a project I'm involved in. You can find more details here:

It'd be good to provide at least a snapshot build or some other workaround until this is handled. Any advice is more than welcomed.

@David M. Lloyd looks like a good reason to make a release :).

Released. Look for the 1.0.6 artifact within about 24 hours.
