Presuming you have a licensed version of QLab rather than the free
version. (Free version will only allow 2 channels output)
With the X-32, you should be able to plug in the USB and assign a
block of channels on the console to take their input from the USB (the
one on the back, not the one on the front). You may need to go the
Setup/Card screen (on the mixer) and make sure the card is set for
32/32 or whatever combination of in/out you prefer. Then on the Input
assign page, home tab, assign your USB card inputs to your channel
strips in blocks of 8. Same with outputs if you need to return to the
computer.
In QLab, once you have the console connected and configured, you
should see the mixer showing up as an available Audio Patch in the
Settings panel (click on the gear in the lower right in QLab3 to get
to the settings panel). Click on the drop-down button on Audio Patch 1
to select the X32 as your patch)
It's been a while since I used an M7CL, but I don't recall that having
a USB audio interface option. You could get a Dante interface card
(MY16-Aud2) for 16 channels in/out over ethernet, or use an external
sound card on the computer and connect to the mixer inputs via analog.
The Dante card should be available for around $600 or so, and will
include access to the controller and virtual sound card software
you'll need to download from Audinate.
For roughly the same amount, you can probably pick up an external card
like a Roland Octacapture and connect into the M7CL with analog
cables.
Note - either way, Dante or external card, you'll need to assign this
as another patch in QLab, and select that patch for the cue in order
to route audio to those outputs. Or, you can build an aggregate patch
in the Mac Audio MIDI Settings utility that includes both, and make
that your patch for QLab.
