I have what may be a very stupid question, but nonetheless I can't seem to figure it out. When I plug my MacBook Pro into a behringer analog mixer none of my cues will come through the speaker setup. I've tried to run other sound through (via ITunes and the like) and the sound comes out just fine. Is there a special setting in qlab I'm missing?

The analog mixer is connected to my Mac through my headphone jack. The sound will play just fine if I use my headphones or just the speakers on the Mac itself, yet nothing will happen sound wise when I hit go on a cue on qlab.

I'm on a very tight schedule with a show I'm designing and am very frustrated after trying all of my options.

Thank you so much,

Ashley

When you built the cues, were you using an external sound card or some other device? Wondering if the output patch may be set to a missing device.
On the cue you are trying to play, in the Device & Level tab, do you see something like this:

Also - the levels should be more or less as shown here.

Then check your patch assignment for crosspoint levels on the Built In output patch - go to the lower right of the Qlab window and click on the gear, then select Audio in the right-hand list you see.
Check your crosspoint levels to be set at "0" and your input levels to be set at "0" as shown here:

Finally - make sure your soundfile is good - I was just playing a couple of files in order to set up these visuals, and one I picked (believe it or not in the context of this discussion) turned out to be silent (a recording of silence I'd made to use for timing in an odd sequence)!

I should note that the second item above really only applies to cues you are yet to build - in other words, it's setting the default levels for those future cues. For current cues, you would look at the levels below the faders in the device & levels tab shown in the first image. Those again should be at "0" as shown. If they are set very low for some reason, that could be why you are not hearing anything.
