Hi All,

I am working on a project file with multiple video cues that re set to output to a surface that is the theatre's projector. As I am not in the theatre today, these cues are showing as broken. However, I would like to be able to view them whilst I tweak audio cues to refine some timings between audio and video. Is there any way I can view the video cues without messing with the surface settings (I certainly DO NOT want to lose the surface settings set by the technician)?

When I open the audition window and fire video cues it remains black.

I don't know anything about video.

Cheers for your help,

Nick

Forgot to add specs:

I have an audio pro licence, Qlab 3.2.9, MacBook Pro 2010.

Yup. Just use the Audition Window

Window > Audition Window
or
Command Shift A

Audio cues will also play through this, but you can select which patch those will play through.

Thanks all for your responses, much appreciated.

Brad’s link led to the solution, I simply opened the audition window and selected my Built-in output patch, the projection appeared. I was then able to switch back to my sound card patch and the projection is still working! Perfect, thanks Brad.

Cheers,

Nick

Ok, actually, it seems this fix is only working when the visual is a still .png file. This is the original problem stated in the thread Brad linked to however the fix isn’t working for moving visuals or, in my case, title cues.

Back to the drawing board.

Title cues require a video licence

Yep, I’m a dummy. The majority of the cues I’m trying to view are title cues, thanks Mic and everyone. Problem solved with a rental of a video licence. Phew.

Cheers,

Nick
