Hi Dino,
I'm not in love with this too. But I needed a way to show that this was a "Live folder", not a regular sub menu. Maybe the specific icon (with down arrow) is enough and I could remove the exclamation marks. These exclamation marks are also used in the Settings window to distinguish Live folders.
Other users have opinion on this?

100% OK (and even more !) to remove exclamation marks ! I did not dare
to ask, but I too find them very ugly.
On the other hand, you may keep them in the Settings window.... or write
in clear "Folder" vs "Live Folder" in the Type column... But, in the
settings window, really no matter.

Initial request from Dino included a second topic, relative to file
extensions.
On this second point, what I would personnally suggest is to
follow, in QAP, rules as they are applied in Windows Explorer.
Thanks to these rules
- some extension are never displayed (based on NeverShowExt key in
registry), which is in particular the case for .lnk
- and other extensions can be hidden or displayed, based on user
choice, thanks to Explorer option "Masquer les extensions dont le
type est connu" (sorry, I don't know the exact wording in english)
Regards
Laurent

HI,
I agree with you to remove the "! ... !" and display "Liver Folder" in Settings. It will be in the next release. Regarding extensions, the .lnk extension is already removed in the next release (in test now) that also includes the capability to import various properties from the .lnk file. Regarding other extensions in Live folders, it is already on the wishlist (https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/wishlist-option-to-hide-file-extensions-in-live-folders/) and I added your suggestion t use Windows settings.
@MFM AWDEH: I already replied to your previous email. Please check your GMail account. And, please, avoid posting off-topic messages on this group :-)

Thank Jean looking forward to a future release. With regards to the Live folder issue I'm sure the user-base will help you come to a solution which everyone is happy with. For me, perhaps yes a special icon for Live Folders would work just fine, maybe even the possibility of customizing this folder icon.
Cheers,
Dino
