hey, i have a locator based point cloud in Maya and i'm trying to figure out a python script which would assign tiny cubes to each locator to make it renderable, any ideas? ...I know Maya fairly well, but i am struggling with getting my head around the python language!

The cloud has around 10,000 locators

thanks in advance :)

Have you tried any bits of code that you could share, to show where you are stuck? Have you managed to get as far as looping over the locators?

do you need mesh cubes attached? that might get kind of slow. maybe you can use particles instead.
