First Thing First : Following Question is not regarding Maya, but I needed badly. If doesn't suite the group may delete the topic, but any reply will be appreciated.

Hi I Need To Create A Montage/Layout(Check image below) with any software(editing) for Videos.

Which is the good software for it.

It Should have support for coding for some customization.

I came across couple of them : AviSynth VideoDub GStreamer I am comfortable with Python, if any software uses Python that would be great.

Kindly Suggest some options.

Thanks in advance.

You might want to try this question on Stackoverflow. All I can think of, off the top of my head, is to use Nuke and its python API.

Thnx for the reply.

@ Nuke , I am already doing it with Nuke. But issue is Nuke is not good(really bad) with MOVs and it doesn't support audio as well.
@ SO, I asked, i got a -1 for it saying, its not an appropriate question :((

I am trying with AviSynth, so far quite good, I think I will get through the hurdle with it.

I suppose it could go either way on SO depending on how you format the question. If you asked it the same way you asked here, verbatim, then I don't doubt they would down vote. It probably would have needed to be formatted in a way where you had some code you were attempting against a specific library or tool and asking for help on correcting it.
They tend to down vote any questions that are simply polling for opinions and don't have concrete answers.

Yea nuke would be limited for QuickTime / audio. I just didn't assume that was the source.

Hi,

Did you took a look at FFmpeg, you can know basic montage operation as overlay, juxtaposition, various encoding and it support audio as many image formats.

http://www.ffmpeg.org/

You can use subprocess to use this library.

I hope it can help.

RVIO is also designed for these sort of tasks.
