Can pypsa read PSSE v30 raw file?

Hi Fabian,

It can take some significant effort to prepare the network input data for a large system.

However, the PSSE raw file associated with the large system is usually available.

I wonder if pypsa could read PSSE raw file directly?

Hi Bo,

Importing from PSS/E is not supported, see:
https://github.com/PyPSA/PyPSA/issues/24

If you want to give it a go, pull requests and contributions are always
welcome.


In the meantime there is a community repository by Eric Anderson for
reading PSS/E and outputting pypsa-opinionated dataframes which might do
the trick (I haven't tried it):
