I am trying to copy a file to a desktop from a network drive with puppet but I keep getting errors.

Does anyone know the script to copy a file from one location to another with puppet?

Puppet does not have "scripts".  Supposing, however, that you want Puppet to ensure that a given file on the target node is a copy of another file directly accessible by that node, you can explain that to Puppet with a File resource:

file { '/path/to/target/file':
  ensure => 'file',
  source => '/path/to/source/file'
}

Any of the File type's many other attributes may be added to that as needed.
