I'm seeing the following error when I try to install modules.

 [root@puppet_server ~]# puppet module install whisklabs-kafka
Notice: Preparing to install into /etc/puppet/modules ...
Error: undefined method `tr' for nil:NilClass
Error: Try 'puppet help module install' for usage
[root@puppet_server ~]#

Can someone please help me on this?

Thanks,
Seby.

not off the top of my head, but can you try the same command with
--trace? This should give us a hint about what's actually happening.

Thanks,
Felix

Hi Felix,

This is working now... I've not done any changes on our end though.

[root@puppet_server modules]# puppet module install whisklabs-kafka
Notice: Preparing to install into /etc/puppet/modules ...
Notice: Downloading from https://forgeapi.puppetlabs.com ...
Notice: Installing -- do not interrupt ...
/etc/puppet/modules
└─┬ whisklabs-kafka (v0.0.2)
  └─┬ puppetlabs-java (v1.1.1)
    └── puppetlabs-stdlib (v4.2.2)
[root@puppet_server modules]#

Man, I'm good ;-)

Glad that works for you now, though. Perhaps a transient network problem.
