Regarding Puppet agent

Hello,

I installed puppet open source.My master is on Ubuntu 14.04 and also my agent is also on Ubuntu 14.04.

When i run service puppetserver status on my maters it's saying pupperserver is running.

When i run service puppet status on my agent it's saying agent is running

But when i type puppet agent -t on my agent it's saying :

Warning: Unable to fetch my node definition, but the agent run will continue:

Warning: Connection refused - connect(2)

Info: Retrieving plugin

Error: /File[/var/lib/puppet/lib]: Failed to generate additional resources using  'eval_generate': Connection refused - connect(2)

when i first did puppet cert list on my puppet master i got this agent list and when i sign and i started doing puppet agent -t on agent it's saying above error.

Any Help?

1. what is the fqdn of your puppet server?
2. is there an entry in /etc/puppetlabs/puppet/puppet.conf agent section specifying which server to connect to?
[agent]
server = server.domain.tld
3. local firewall rules?
4. can the system resolve the servername to an IP address?
