Hi all,

we're recently having problems with our pupil eye-tracker device. Despite the fact that it was working for a couple of weeks quite perfectly, all of a sudden the main camera stopped working.

When starting the program, an error is raised stating

"world - [ERROR] video_capture.uvc_backend: Init failed. Capture is started in ghost mode. No images will be supplied."

Note that this is happening while both of the eye cameras are working perfectly.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Is there any chance it to be not a hardware defect?

Any help is very much appreciated since we currently are in a time-critical user study. Thanks for your support.

Best regards

Andi

Hi,

I just want to follow up and close this thread. Andi contacted us via email as well. This turned out to be a hardware defect and we replaced the headset.

Best,
Moritz

Hi,

I have just started having this same problem, the world camera was working fine, then stopped receiving an image, rather the eye camera image is being fed through both world and eye views.

Hi,

in this case please reset the capture settings and it should work again. You have the video source in both world and eye process set to the same input.

Best,
Moritz
