Hey all,

I was wondering if someone could help me integrate Pupil in a Unity application with the HTC Vive? I looked into the hmd eyes repo on github (https://github.com/pupil-labs/hmd-eyes) and found the unity-integration and the unity-integration-calibration folders. I was able to run the unity-integration-calibration project so that way I could calibrate and record in Pupil Capture then export the data in Pupil Player. Although after stopping the recording, in Pupil Capture, I received a warning saying "No user calibration data found. Please calibrate first. Camera calibration not found. Will assume idealized camera." Therefore I'm not actually sure if my recording was calibrated correctly, any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Anyway, my main concern is being able to get Unity and Pupil to talk to each so that I can export my eye data through Unity. I went back to look at the unity-integration project and tried to run that but all I received is a debug message telling me my eye position is at 0,0,0. Can someone explain to me what this project is supposed to show and explain the necessary steps to get that project to work?

Thank you,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I recommend building on our calibration plugin and extend it to save gaze/pupil data as you require.

The recoding function of capture is not really intended to be used for hmd applications.

Best,
Moritz

Hi Jeff

Did you ever get this to work? I'm the University of Michigan and trying to get it running.

All the best
Mark

Hi All,

this should be working but we will make a example guide in the near future to make the step clear!

Best,
Moritz
