This is fantastic news! Congratulations Kelly!!!

@all in the light of this, could we try to have call together to discuss about the workshop and how to follow up with the Statement? 

There are a few things also to follow up in this regards. Specially the members of the group based in the region, this is a opportunity to reach out and present your views.

@Kim since you are the master mind behind the submitted workshop would you do a short presentation of the format and idea of the workshop in the call? Are speakers already fixed? What are the open questions from your point of view? Any strategical factors we should all be aware of? And what are the next steps for the workshop?

@all what questions would you like to have in the agenda and address in the call? 

Additionally: perhaps there is the opportunity to find related events in Latin America to also present the statement there (as well as Africa)

@Gabriella any ideas? I think Renatas idea to also present the issue at LACIGF great. @Renata, what would be the next steps for that? Is the call for issues open?

Great that you think the collaboration is a good idea.
It also occurred to me the collaboration between APrIGF-LACIGF because
they are on the same dates or consecutive always (this year they are
consecutive)

I've already answered the doodle poll and look forward to the DC call
We have to think about this since LACIGF is a bit more hermetic

LACIGF has a program committee (a MAG)  which decides on all the programme itself

There is a consultation of themes but that is gone already

I'm thinking we could try and articulate via local lists and IGF NRIs list a request for this exchange of ideas with APrIGF

Derechos Digitales is one of the participants of LACIGF MAG via Civil Society (only organizations can be part of the programme committee at LACIGF)

I think to organize a call to discuss this would be good but maybe other folks in the group can help us find ways so I'd open it

Can also be a part of our next call a decision about this

getting all continents together for a call seems to be more complicated than expected -even though the doodle offers different time slots. Hence I suggest to first start the conversation over email

@Kelly: what do we need to do to prepare the session? Are all speakers fixed? Is there anything we can do in advance over all our networks to make aware of the session and get more signatures for the joint letter of concern?

@all: who is attending APrIGF?

@Renata: with regards to LACIGF: what are the concrete steps to have a session mirroring the one at APrIGF? I think many of the Latinamerican members of this list will be attending.

Everything is going well. Oliver's and Open Net's workshop proposals have been merged and here is the merged workshop proposal -  http://apps.2017.rigf.asia/submission/proposaldetail?id=132

We got all our speakers finalized and confirmed, including Asep, and we will have one more speaker from India.

Mark Wallem and K.S. will be co-moderators so it will be good to hear from them as to what we should do to make the session a success.
