Hi Magnus,
If the drone is at a different position than the original image was
taken from, you will have parallax. Because the subject is not flat, you
will not be able to perfectly align the images.
That said, you might be able to get a reasonable alignment by using
viewpoint correction (PTGui Pro only) for one of the images.
* Load the two images in PTGui
* Use individual lens settings for both images, or assign two different
lens profiles in the Lens Settings tab
* Place control points
* Switch the optimizer to Advanced mode
* Disable all optimizations for one of the images
* Optimize yaw/pitch/roll and Viewpoint for the other image
* Run the optimizer
If you need more help, please post your project file after you've placed
the control points.
