GPS coordinates and .exr

Just one more thing..!

I geotag my images in the camera. PTGUI will include this info if I export a regular .tiff or .jpeg. But I don't think this happens with .exr files?

So when I process these in Photomatix and add them to Pano2VR I have to manually add the GPS coordinated somewhere along the line.

I don't suppose there is a way to preserve the GPS coordinates in the workflow so I don't have to do this extra step?

Thanks

Hi Keith,

No I'm sorry, PTGui currently does not embed any metadata in .exr files.
As a workaround you could output to 32 bit tiff (which will contain
metadata) and convert to exr in Photoshop.

Kind regards,

Thanks Joost, if you get round to adding metadata to .exr files, if that can be done of course, then that would be good.

It's not actually that much of a problem. I can list all the coordinates on my files (currently I use Photolinker 3.5 for the Mac ) and then copy them onto the final pano in Pano2VR, which has a dialogue box for this. For single panos I shoot most of the time it's fine, but with 40+ it's a little more onerous, but no big deal :-)

Cheers,

Keith
