Hello everyone! I'm a bit stuck at the moment and can't find the right answer: Shouldn't it be possible to import and edit recordings from the Insta360 as DNG files (i.e., NOT yet stitched with the Insta app)? Does anyone have a working workflow for this? Best regards, Michael

Hi,

It should work. What's the problem exactly?

Kind regards,

I am trying to load the DNG files (see attachment, for example) and stitch them together into a panoramic image, but I cannot find the right workflow to convert the individual images into a panorama....

With PTGui 13.3 it should work out of the box. Just drop the DNG into PTGui.

If you can't get it to work, just make your DNG file available for
download and I'll give it try.

I reduced the DNG file and saved it as a JPG (the original DNG file is over 130MB).

The problem is not loading it into the program, but rather further processing it to display it as a panorama... :-(

I can't get the “two” images to combine.

See attached screenshot, this is what I get when loading your image in
PTGui 13.3. This is also what you should see. As you can see the two
halves are stitched.

Then if you want to view it interactively, create the panorama (in the
Create Panorama tab) and then open it in the PTGui Viewer (Tools - PTGui
Viewer).

Okayyyy... ?
Unfortunately, that's exactly the view I'm not getting. Could it be because I still have version 12.26? Do I need to update?

Yes, PTGui 12 did not support the most recent Insta360 cameras.

Besides upgrading, you could consider downloading the trial version of
PTGui 13. Load your image, save project, then render the project in
PTGui 12.

Try the attached project file for stitching reduziert.jpg as supplied.  You should be able to use it as a template if you start a new project and add the image to be stitched twice (no need to rename one of the images). Then do File->Apply template.
