PTGui Integration with Nuke - Free Version Issues and Workflow Documentation

Hi PTGui Team,

My studio has tasked me with researching stitching workflows and software options currently available, and I’ve started evaluating PTGui. I’m using the free version to explore its compatibility with my Nuke pipeline. However, when I create a stitch and attempt to import the rig into Cara VR, I encounter an error stating that the "file format is unrecognized."

Can anyone confirm if this issue is due to the limitations of the free version of PTGui?

Additionally, I’m seeking any workflow documentation or guidelines related to integrating PTGui with Nuke specifically, as I haven’t comprehensive resources online.

Hi Reed,

The trial version of PTGui creates encrypted project files. They can be
opened in PTGui but cannot be read by third party applications.

The trial project file can be opened and re-saved in the licensed
version, then it can be used in other applications.

If you would like me to convert a project file so you can see if it
works, just post it here.

otoh, I’d stick with ptgui for batch stitching with templates (you can stitch image sequences this way), and then use the latlong images in nuke. v13 works really well for that.
