Hi all,

Good news: In Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) Apple have fixed a driver bug which
caused PTGui to crash when attempting to use GPU acceleration with
NVIDIA cards.

If your machine was affected, after upgrading to Sierra, go to
Preferences - Advanced and enable GPU acceleration. You need to select
your GPU manually in the listbox. A red warning will appear (which you
can ignore).

Tested on a macbook Pro with GT750M. If you have a different GPU and
still encounter problems please let me know.

I haven't found any problems while running PTGui on Sierra, but if you
do please let me know.

Hi Manel,

I can't reproduce the crash on my macs with AMD GPU, but unfortunately I
don't have this particular configuration.

Could you try this project:
https://www.ptgui.com/images/masktut/louvre.zip
and render step5.pts, does this crash too?

Hi. Thank you. I tested it, it worked well with the GPU acceleration. It was a simple image thought.
Mine was a more complex one, a HDR bracketed (4x7) image, then crashes and freezes.

Hope with the OSX 10.12.02 will solve the problem.

thank you

Hi Manel,

Yes if the entire computer crashes the problem is probably in OSX, not
in PTGui.

Could you make your project available to me for testing?
