Hello, new here and to PTGui.  I have a number of old iPhone panoramas (taken in iPhone camera app pano mode).  If I know that the panorama covers 180 degrees of arc, what is the best way to create a partial equirectangular panorama in PTGui.  Currently, I'm loading the image, changing the Lens Settings to Type: Equirectangular, Horizontal field of view: 180, then opening the panorama editor window, choosing the Equirectangular mode and Spherical: 360x180 Equirectangular, then going to the Create Panorama tab and clicking Create Panorama.  This only seems to work well if the original panorama was shot with the horizon exactly in the middle of the image.   If the camera was originally tilted 20 or 30 degrees, then the horizon of the final equirectangular panorama created by PTGui is warped (curved) and no amount of straightening seems to fix it.  What should I be doing?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

I think you can fix it by going to the Crop tab and enlarge the cropping
rectangle above or below the image. This is the opposite of cropping,
you are making the image larger. Do this such that the horizon ends up
in the middle of the image.

Kind regards,

Eric, I think another solution is to load in the iPhone image and change the lens settings as you have done, but then alter the vertical shift parameter (shift short side) by a few percent to get the horizon straight across the middle of the frame.
