GPS Data not Exporting

Hello and thanks in advance :)

I have shot a monster tour and am hoping to use gps data for placement in Google. I used a Fuji X-T3 with Sigma 8mm Lens. I shot 5 images for each HDR with 4 images per pano north, east, south and west. All images were shot in .RAF file format which is the Raw setting for Fuji. I have checked and all the .RAF files have the GPS embedded in them.

Each set of 20 pics was imported into PTGui HDR merged stitched and then exported as a single TIFF or JPG. Only issue is there is no GPS data in the exported file.

Is there a way to retain the GPS data on export? Am I missing a setting.

Hi Jordan,

You are right. Most raw formats are based on TIFF and PTGui can read
metadata from them. Fuji RAF uses a different format and PTGui currently
PTGui cannot read metadata from these.

I've added this to the wish list.

Is there a best way to add the gps coordinates to the meta data of the exported PTGui images?

Also thanks for your amazing software I have been using it for over 10 years now :)

Hi Jordan,

One way would be to convert your RAF images to TIFF and stitch those; I
assume a good raw converter will be able to keep the GPS data (and give
a somewhat better image quality as well).
