Hello,

I stitched a 9 image series and out the file to a DNG and I am not able to open the file in either LrC or PS.  I tried to attach the file itself but it is too large.  I have attached the .pts file
_DSC2035-HDR Far Focus Panorama.pts

Hi Bob,

I think the image may be too large for PS or LR. Could you try reducing
the size?

If it still doesn't work, could you send me the (smaller) DNG file?

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

The original stitched size was 24596x8450 pixels.  I saved it at 50% and 10% and LrC still will not import it.  I will try to upload the image file .

When I try to add the image to a mess it says that the message is too long.

Hi Bob,

Could you use wetransfer.com, google drive, dropbox or a similar service?

Hey Joost,
I got the same problem as Bob. If you still need sample DNGs, just let me know and I will upload something.

Regards,
Sönke

Hi Sönke,

I still need to investigate. Is it just Lightroom classic, or does
Photoshop refuse to import as well?

Does the problem happen at small sizes?

Are you outputting regular low dynamic range panorama or is this the HDR
output?

Kind regards,

I sent my image via Wetransfer.  Let me know if you need it again.  My file (regardless of size) will not open in LrC or PS. My image is a low dynamic range image.

Bob

Sorry, I double checked and my issue was with an HDR series.

Are you sure, what you see is not the embedded jpeg preview? Is the
pixel size the same?

Yes, what you are seeing is the embedded JPG preview, not the actual raw
image. PTGui currently doesn't embed a preview or thumbnail. This is on
the wish list.

Hi Joost,
Lightroom and PS are not able to open the file.

I was testing with a non-panoramic workflow. So its just a one bracket of 7 images in 6000x4000 px.

My output is a HDR file.

Hope this helps,
Sönke
