Why is this pop-up message coming up?

Error:

PTGui must be re-activated on this computer before 13 January 2021.  See Help | License info for more information.

I only have (1) computer and only have PTGui installed on this (1) computer.  Why is it stating that I need to re-activate my license before 13 January 2021?  I looked under license info and it states that I'm using a personal license and it may be activated on up to 3 computers.  My license is currently active on 1 of 3 machines.  What happens if I don't 'reactivate' my license by 13 January 2021?  Also... how exactly am I supposed to reactivate my license when my license shows that it is current?

Do I have to deactivate my license and then reactivate it for some reason?  What happens if for some reason it fails to reactivate (it seems glitchy for this message to come up and I'd hate to lose the functionality of this program because of a glitch).

I'm a bit confused if I need to purchase a new license.  I thought I purchased the rights to use this version until I saw fit to purchase a new version.  Is this now a yearly subscription?

Thanks for clarifying,

Philip

Hi Philip,

The license is perpetual but the activation must be refreshed
periodically, even if PTGui was already activated on a particular
computer. This is because PTGui can be deactivated and moved to other
computers freely.

Normally reactivation happens automatically, but if your computer is
offline or behind a firewall it will not be able to contact the
activation servers.

If your computer is only occasionally online, just do Help - License
Info while online and the activation will be refreshed.

If the computer is offline permanently, use the Offline Activation
procedure:

Go to Help - License Info and press Deactivate
Restart PTGui. The activation window will appear. Press Activate Offline
and follow the instructions.

Kind regards,
