Hi guys,

I am located in Australia and I want to buy a PTGui Pro personal license. I just can't get why PTUGUI adds extra 29 euros to say the price shown in UK when I select Australia.

So if select UK it is 220 Euros without VAT which of course I do no have to pay being outside of UK. If I select Australia though I am asked to pay 249 euros.

They say they will charge in euros and that they are collecting sales tax if you are in " the European Union, Russia, India, Taiwan and Korea " . However Australia is not listed so why 29 euros is added?

Ok, it seems to be a bug or something I do not understand. When I select UK that shows 220 euro and click buy it turns it into   249 euros too and says "plus VAT if applicable (calculated upon checkout)"
Kind of does not make any sense to charge extra 29 euros just for clicking Buy button :-)

Hi,

The price is 249 EURO + tax everywhere. If you select UK, it will
currently show £ 220 (not €).

The tax situation is somewhat complicated: many countries are requiring
non-resident companies to charge and remit VAT/GST on 'e-services' such
as software licenses. Mostly because it allows them to take a cut on
Apple Store and Play Store sales. This also includes Australia but we're
below the registration threshold.

Thanks in advance if you decide to purchase a license!

Kind regards,

Joost Nieuwenhuijse

Thanks Joost.  I have not noticed that it is not the same currency so probably there is no difference at all. Sorry, my mistake for not paying attention to what currency symbols th price is displayed with.

I have been looking to buy it for   2 years hoping that I will either be able to wait for some discount or at least get a job when my customer wants a manual capture with hi-res panos. I have a 50mp Canon that can do a fantastic resolution 360 even with 4 pictures at 10mm(8-15mm canon lens).
I just have two many professional 360 cameras that stitch on board to add manual capturing for my  customers so I do not even offer it for these days.
Now I have finally swapped my commercial drone without capturing pano feature to its pro-consumer analogue that can do it and I am considering buying the license soon.

I have used PtGui Pro trial a lot for my own experiments and I love it. Nothing beats. I have tried free Huggin app but it cannot even stitch properly.

As for GST it does not really matter. I am registered for it and if you charge me GST I can claim it back anyway so both way works for me.
