Hi,

I'm encountering an issue where the anchor image won't stay fixed at position 1 in the optimizer. For some reason, after enabling the following:

Optimize lens focal length: off
Minimise lens distortion: heavy + lens shift

The anchor image will become randomized and not stay at 1.

How can I have PTGui always force the anchor image to stay at position 1? All of the images are taken in the same left to right direction, with the same rotation and same starting point.

Thank You!

Hi,

By any chance does the project have horizontal or vertical line control
points? In such a case PTGui will level the panorama as part of the
optimization process. Leveling will affect all images, including the
anchor image (it's not possible to level the panorama if one image is
locked).

If that's not the case: could you post your project file so I can see
what's happening?

Kind regards,

Hi,

I'm using the following optimizer settings:

And for some reason PTGui is randomly flipping some of the images in the image list, this results in the panorama messing up during stitching. For example, in the screenshot below, the image marked in red is inexplicably flipped 180 degrees whilst all other images are normal. How can I disable this image flipping behavior?

Thank You!

The rotation of the thumbnails in the Project Assistant (all other tabs)
just follows the orientation of the image in the panorama.

The image gets rotated in the panorama, likely because it is lacking
control points. Check the Control Point Assistant window for details.

Also I would remove at least 7 out of each 8 images. That still gives
sufficient overlap and will make the project much easier to handle.

Kind regards,
