Hi guys:
A marvelous Monday to you all. I have this situation where everytime I
lay my hand on the keyboard, the cursor seems to be jumping from the
track list into the group list. What could be causing this? Anyone has
an idea? It's been happening for the past 3 weeks or so and I've been
thinking it'll go away, but it's still going on. So I thought to ask
to see if anyone knows what could be causing it. Thanks and God bless!
Warm regards,
Dammie

Do you currently have Groups List focus enabled? If so, pressing letters might activate /deactivate groups and focus is being stolen? Not sure. Do you have several groups in the Groups List? Does it happen if you suspend all groups?

Hi Slau:
I don't anything in the group list, and I don't know if I have group
list enabled. I don't think I do though, but how do I take group list
out of focus or how do I check if it's in focus? I don't know, perhaps
that help. Thanks!

Hi Slau:
I have the 2019 version of ProTools. I'm yet to upgrade to the latest
version of ProTools. I should upgrade to the latest version by June or
so. Thanks!
Best,
Dammie

OK, in that case, in the Edit window, press Command Option 2 on the numbers row. bring up the item Chooser and type "focus." You should only see two items and neither of them should be selected. If that's the case, press Escape and see if you still get the same behavior. If you are getting the same behavior, please post an mp3 demonstrating the behavior.
