Hi guys:

A great day to you all. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
I just ran into a little problem. I was editing and trying to bring
down the volume of a track. And on lowering the volume of a specific
track, the other two tracks that were soloed came down too. I thought
I wasn't hearing right so I mute the specific track, and to my
amazement, the other two tracks went silent on me. Please guys how do
I separate their volumes? I'm feeling it has to do with grouping or
something, which I know tiny to nothing about. I'll great appreciate
your time and supportive expertise. Thanks!

Best,

Dammie

It sounds like you have the all tracks group selected. You can fix this by navigating to the group list table and interacting, or VO j between the track/clip/group lists as of PT 2019.5. Once inside, look for an element that says “selected,” and VO space on it. Navigate away from it and back, and it should only say the group’s name, without saying selected. Now everything should behave as you were expecting 🙂

Thanks Mike! That explained and cleared a lot because I keep going
into the group list and finding nothing but select and one other
thing. When I didn't find anything in there, I was confused and
wondering what that selected row was about. But now, I know. So much
appreciate. God bless!

Best,

Dammie
