Hello!

Are there some Mojave users here?
Can someone confirm that VOCR is compatible or not?
Having installation issues on my new Mac mini 2018, any help would be very Appreciated.

Thank you! / Martin

Subject: Help need with VOCR under Mojave

Hello all!

Dows VOCR run under Mojave?

I get the following errors:

Very strange...
I started the installation, entered the account password and at the end I found that Imagemagick failt to install.
make[1]: config/install-sh: No such file or directory

What could be wrong here?

Hi Martin,

That's odd. Are you comfortable in the command-line?

Regards,

Donal

Donal!

Maybe I could get through the command line stuff.
But could it be that yesterday maybe a necessary web resource was off?
Is there a kind of uninstall or could I try again and again?

martin,

First thing I would try is to open a command-line and just type the word:

make

then press enter. If that works, we've elimiated one possibility.

Next type:

brew doctor

Again press enter. This will verify whether you have all necessary components.

There's no uninstaller per se, however everything is bassed on the file named:

install.command

which is literally a textfile containing the commands necessary to download and install the various components. The entire thing is based on home-brew. This means that you can "brew uninstall" the various packages. However, the install.command does this anyway before attempting a new install.

Scratch that Martin, I just tried the installer again here, and am getting exactly the same errors. Very very odd.

OK...
The installer says last version 10.14 freezed.
Does it include 10.14.4?
We both now have 10.14.4.

martin,

Here's a workaround. Go to the command line, and either type or paste the following commands. Note, there are a couple, so you will need to paste this in line-by-line

brew install imagemagick
brew install tesseract

then close your terminal window.

This works here.

This works at my end.

Hi Donal!

The install of imagemagick worked.
Tesseract created an error... Tesseract is already installed.

What ist he next step?
Importing the macros?

Yup, then you should be good to go. there's an application in the download folder. You can use the readme from here.

Good luck.

Donal!

Yes, I know that :-)
Thanks! You are the man oft he day!

Do you also have a Mac mini headless?
If so... What did you take for a screen size value?
I'm using the 4k headless adapter.
