Hi,

May be its already out there but I was wondering if I can copy routines from one experiment to another using the builder interface?
There is a functionality to do it within an experiment but not across.
I'm using 1.79.

Thanks.

Hi
I tried to copy/paste (ctrl+shift+C/V) some routines from one experiment to another using the builder interface but it is not working in 1.83.04.
Is this functionality discontinued or am I doing something wrong ?

Hard to tell what's wrong from what you've told us but it certainly hasn't been discontinued. Could you expand on "it is not working"?
Ideally we need an error message, but sometimes that appears at the bottom of the coder view. Could you:
    - open coder view
    - go back to builder and do your copy paste routine
    - go back to coder and copy paste the entire error message (you can select and right-click with the mouse)
cheers
Jon

Thank you for your help Jon.
Sorry for the lack of information of my previous message. By "it is not working", I meant nothing happens.

In fact, I have found what I was doing wrong : I opened the .psyexp in different builder. I didn't know that the 2 .psyexp needed to be opened in the same builder.

Cheers,
Guillaume

Aah, glad you worked out the issue. Yes, we can't copy between applications (but you should be able to copy between Builder windows in the same running application). From the File menu click New... to get a new window and open your second experiment in that. One day I'll do the work to make sure that we only have one running copy of the application (so that if you double click a second file it isn't a new python you get but a new window in the current app)

cheers,
Jon
