Hi all,

is it possible to load some value out of a plain file into an
alertmanager template, so that the value is assigned to a variable?

Hi Volker,

That's not possible unfortunately. The external file can be small and specific, but it has to be a valid Go template that can be loaded (example in https://prometheus.io/blog/2016/03/03/custom-alertmanager-templates/#template-files), not just a number or something like that.
