Difficult to read the polymer-project web site due to font and color choices

The polymer-project web site is not very accessible for anyone with less than perfect vision.

The color choices, especially at the top of the page (Start, Docs, Resources, Community) are very low contrast and in a thin font.  Light pink on fuschia?   This is really hard to read.

Similarly, the text in "Note" boxes is light grey on white, and difficult to read.  

Please remember that a key objective for designers is that people should actually be able to easily read the text.
