every type of data should have an easy literal syntax, out of the box,
not via some rando (e.g. npm) library that some day will go
unmaintained.

(maybe even more than one.)

e.g. making binary trees for test cases shouldn't be some
helper/boilerplate nightmare.

Reminds me of the work on Type-Specific Languages by Jonathan Aldrich.
