Here is a link where it explains some of what you are looking for:
- Basic chess tutor functionality (even in case the choosen engine does not support score & hint moves like almost all mame emulated engines) with the following 3 functions (disabled in Online mode)
- Pico Watcher (checks your moves and returns ??, ?, !?, ?!, !, !!)
- You can change the control limits for the evalutations in file picotutor_constants.py
- Pico Coach (gives position score and move hint(s) - just lift a piece and put it back into the same position)
- Pico Opening Explorer (displays current opening name (alternative) independet of the used opening book

Thank you very much for your response and for your help. I have written down the menu, and maybe there are people who would like to add additional information to it. Then, we could create a PDF to provide everyone with a guide.
I recently got the DGT Pi and installed PicoChess 3.3 on it. Maybe there are other beginners who, like me, don’t understand some of its functions. For example, I don’t understand why there are so many different engines when Stockfish is considered the strongest and best. What are all the opening books for, and how do you use them? Is there a way to analyze games while playing over-the-board against a human opponent or to have the trainer check the game? How can one analyze and practice endgames?
