Hi,

I have used paperwork about half a year ago and it worked quite well for a while. I got some issues which made me interrupt the work of digitizing several thousands of pages by scanning and OCRing them, and then I had to move and now I want to pick up where I stopped. I had used the flatpak installation, but when trying that I didn't get the scanner (Brother MFC-J6820DW) running. It has an ADF and can do duplex scanning.
I installed the latest flatpack version, and with that I can scan exactly one page max, even though I have set the settings to ADF duplex and the number of pages in scanning from feeder to 100. I observed that I don't have access to a dialog which was available when I stopped doing the work 6 months ago. In that dialog, I could save scanning profiles (like A4 landscape or portrait orientation and so on). Now, when paperwork scans, it always scans A3 (which is the possible format of my scanner) and I have huge margins, which are then automatically removed by some additional program, I guess. OCR works fine.

I wonder what happened. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have most likely more than one paperwork installation? Because I also installed paperwork from the AUR (I use Manjaro 64 bit).

I would be happy to receive some help, because I need space and those masses of paper are still there... :-/

Attached is the info from the diagnosis tool (I removed some "personal" info):

I apologize, part of my recollection seems to be wrong. The dialog I'm talking about was part of another program, it seems. The other issues remain: paperwork does not scan more than one page contrary to what it did 6 months ago.

Hello,

Between Paperwork 1.2.4 and Paperwork 1.3.0, I rewrote entirely the scan
library used (Pyinsane2 --> Libinsane). This might explain your problem.

Providing the diagnostic output was a good idea, however I need it right
after a failed scan attempt. If you restart Paperwork before getting it,
the diagnostic output is reset. Can you get it right after a failed scan
attempt please ? If Paperwork crashes too quickly, you can just get
Paperwork's output from the terminal ; it would probably be good enough.

Best regards,
