Hi there,
I watched this video about critial path analysis in pagespeed. Later, I found out that this feature (critical path explorer) is not available in pagespeed anymore.
I was wondering if there is any equivalent to it in any other tool?
More specifically, is it possible to extract those data (critical path) from Timeline tab in Chrome Developer Tools?

Thanks,
Masoomeh

Hi Masoomeh,

Thanks for asking. The critical path analysis in pagespeed insights has been removed for some time. We have re-design the analysis with a simple representation. The current Pagespeed Insights analysis will show you the blocking CSS and JS files. Those are in the critical path, but would be difficult to interpret in the old chart format. It is difficult to extract the critical path data from the timeline data of Chrome DevTools, because there is no easy way to determine if one resource is blocking the rendering without actually block it and render the rest.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks.
