2021 From The Heart Race Bike Patrol

Hello Everyone!
The 2021 From the Heart 5k and Half Marathon will take place Saturday May 1st and they could use our help again for bike patrol.  Please let me know you can help out.  The Half will start at 8:00 and the 5k at 8:30.

A lot of changes due to COVID.  It will be a combination virtual/In-Person race, so expect in-person numbers to be down considerably from the last live event 2 years ago.  We are not sure exactly what it will look like that Saturday, but they would still like to have some bikers along the route to provide visibility, etc.  Here is a link to the event web page which outlines how the event will go.  For now, just let me know if you can help and I will circle back with additional details the week leading up to the race.

How I wish I could!  But I think I’ve turned a corner on my cycling and likely won’t be back on the saddle much, anymore.

I'm supposed to get my second shot that day at 8:45 am.  Let me talk to Hy Vee and see if I can get the 2nd shot later in the day.
