How to activate online navigation

Hello everyone, new user here.
installed the app, used only the online tile, but getting an error when starting a navigation. Browsing the group here, I found this is because I haven't selected the online navigation mode. I really don't find it on the app, can someone help me? Thanks

Hi Davide,

Can you clarify what you mean with "online navigation"? Can you also specify the exact error message?
For the moment I'm a little lost with what you're trying to say.

You are right.

In the 3.4.8 the setting is missing. Previously in the Navigation settings, the first option was to choose which route calculation method was used: OsmAnd, Online calculation (using Graphhopper) or "bee flight" being a straight line . I can't find that Setting anymore, nowhere.

That is definitely a bug, possibly introduced when the navigation profiles were introduced.

I created an issue for it: #7703

I forwarded the ticket number to you as that is the communication channel about bugs and features, as service to a new user. So please look there.

I will not copy&paste from there to here. Also because I do not use the online options.

It is now on the list for the 3.6 version. But I guess that will still take some time.

Hello!

Right now OsmAnd doesn't have integrated online routing engines, earlier, we had YOURS and OSRM but we delete them because they use outdated map data.

You can use BRouter, but it offline to, you need to download separate BRouter app and download data for needed region. After that, you can create an App profile with BRouter as a Navigation type.
